Team Offsites
Time to train, plan, and bond. Get in nature to get on the same page. Adventure meets ambition. Book a Canadian island for your team and come back with stories that will be told for years.
We can host teams between 10 and 30 during the months of May, June, September and October only.

The power of nature for teams
My best team experiences have always been with teams that went into nature together for adventure.
When I worked at a Bible camp for kids, our whole staff team would go on an offsite canoe camping trip before the season to form friendships around our shared mission.
When I was a university student serving with Campus Crusade for Christ, we used to hike mountains together before flying into dangerous places to share the gospel. The bonds forged in nature were key to resilience in hard times.
Later I built a consulting engineering company and I built and sold a software company. With both of those companies, our most memorable shared experiences as teams came from hiking or being near water or a campfire - whether in BC, Manitoba, Costa Rica, Morocco, or the Alps.
I've spent a lot of time in city boardrooms and hotel meeting rooms, where I have rarely had a standout experience. The team times I remember and cherish the most are the ones we spent in nature. Going to nature as a team has a powerful, transformative, and lasting effect.
Water Activities
Your team can swim, hit the rope swing, or take out kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. Because we are in a dense cluster of islands, you could choose from dozens of scenic routes lasting from 30 minutes to a few hours. You are likely to see pelicans and eagles, and may see a bear on shore.
We can also set you up with a bunch of small motorboats for a team fishing tournament, complete with training and all safety equipment.
There are a few native rock paintings nearby, and we are happy to take groups on pontoon cruises to see these paintings or just on a general cruise.
Water activities can be DIY, or we can provide guides, trainers, and facilitators.
Land Activities
The island is 58 acres of rugged Canadian shield with 3 miles of hiking trails, cliffs, and scenic lookouts. If you staying on land, your best bet is a hike!
We have several screened in porches where you can watch the lake, read a book, or talk with a team member.
And of course at night, we build huge bonfires, watch the stars, and sometimes take in the northern lights.
We have friends who facilitate outdoor activities and leadership. If you want to do archery, survival skills, orienteering, outdoor cooking, or almost anything outdoorsy, let us know and we will try to accommodate!
Breaking Bread
Memorable meals are almost as good for teams as time in nature. I can think of many team dinners where we stayed at the table for more than 3 hours. The setting was just right, the food was great, and we talked about everything - work stuff, family stuff, fun stuff, hard stuff.
My friends and family know that two things define my approach to food - meat and fire. If you come here for a team retreat, we are going to take care of you with great food, and we hope you linger in the iconic lodge dining room late into the night.
